Our guides and reviews

Everything we write is based on our own trips and our research at the time of writing. Event dates, road closures, prices and opening times change, so always check with the organiser or supplier before you book or travel. We can't accept responsibility for losses caused by information that has since changed.

The activities we cover, from cycling high mountain passes to swimming in Arctic water, carry real risks. You take part at your own risk, and it's up to you to make sure you're fit enough, properly equipped and appropriately insured.

Plan With Us

What we do. When you send an enquiry, we put together a suggested plan around your chosen moment: recommended hotels, bike hire, transfers, restaurants and timings, with options and indicative prices. Planning is currently free.

What we don't do. We are not a travel agent or tour operator, and we don't sell package holidays or linked travel arrangements. We don't take payment for travel services. You book each part of your trip directly with the hotel, airline or other supplier, under that supplier's own terms. Your contract, and any refund or protection rights, are with them.

Prices and availability. Prices in our plans are indicative, based on what we could see when we prepared them. They aren't guaranteed until you book with the supplier.

Insurance. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers the activities you're planning, including cycling or water sports at altitude or abroad.

Our responsibility. We'll prepare your plan with reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for the services suppliers provide, or for events outside our control such as weather, road or event cancellations, strikes or illness. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
